At Children's Village of Fisher's Landing, it is our belief
that children need a solid foundation to successfully
develop into healthy, well adjusted adults and to build
their academic careers upon. Our mission is to provide
highly qualified early childhood specialists, along with a
warm and loving environment that will enable children
to develop to their fullest potential. From our specially
designed nursery to our carefully planned classrooms,
we offer an unprecedented early childhood education
program.

Our program has been developed under the standards provided by the National Association for the Education of Young Children and is tailored to meet the individual needs of the children enrolled. We believe that giving children ample opportunities to stimulate their minds, have fun and safely experience new things will activate a love of learning that will last a lifetime!

Our curriculum has been exclusively developed by our Education Director in partnership with our teaching team of professionals. We begin the year with a theme-based learning approach as our teachers observe the children's individual interests and developmental needs. From there, our teaching teams consult with one another and our Education Director to create a web of ideas that are based on these observations of the children's interests. From there the teaching team can bring in resources and develop activities for the development of curriculum that is relevant to the child.

Our daily activities include those that are necessary to a child's physical, emotional and intellectual well-being. Some will be teacher-directed, while others are child-initiated. Children learn through their play and learn most quickly when the situation is relative and consistent. By combining what we know about healthy development and the individual needs of the children enrolled in our program we are able to offer a relevant curriculum that provides ample opportunities for comprehensive and meaningful learning.

Our teaching teams prepare curriculum and activity plans in advance and copies are sent home with the children and posted on each classroom's Parent Information Board along with any program changes and updates.

Our school is located in a peaceful corner of the Fisher's Landing neighborhood right on the border of Camas and Vancouver. Our beautiful facility was built in 2006 just prior to our opening in August of that year.

We are open from 6:15 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. Monday through Friday. We offer both half- and full-day programs 2-5 days per week. Our preschool program (half-day program) takes place between 7:30-12:30 for our infant and toddler department and 8:00-1:00 for our preschool department.
