Q: Do you offer a preschool program?
A: At Children's Village at Fisher's Landing our main
focus is preschool. We offer an unprecedented preschool
program from the hours of 8:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon
when we break for lunch. Lunchtime is a wonderful
social time where the children and teachers
engage in enlightening conversation, learn
table manners and build social skills. For
those families whose schedules require
additional care, our school offers extended
care hours from 1:00 until 6:15 p.m. During
this time children have a rest period and a
play based enrichment program in the
afternoon.
Q: Can I switch my child's days this week?
A: We are often able to accommodate additional
drop-in days or make-up days as long as there is space
available in your child's class. For scheduling purposes, we ask that you make any day or time change requests at least one week in advance.
If you would like to permanently change your child's schedule, we ask that you do so in writing at least two weeks in advance. We will let you know if we are able to accommodate your desired schedule change.
Q: What is on the Menu?
A: All of our meals are cooked from scratch each day on-site by our full time cook. We serve each meal family style in the classrooms and the children are encouraged to serve themselves, pass the serving dishes and practice their table manners. We provide hormone-free milk and dairy products and use fresh produce as often as possible.
Our menu is updated monthly and copies are placed in your family folder located outside your child's classroom door. We also post a copy of the menu on each classroom's information board and have additional copies available at the front desk. For your convenience, you can download a copy of the menu from our website!

Q: Do you enroll children who have special needs?
We are happy to enroll children with mild special needs here at Children’s Village. We believe that all children deserve a quality early education and we strive to provide for the needs of all children. In the past we have successfully met the needs of children with special behavioral needs such as ADHD and autism spectrum disorders and special dietary needs such as severe food allergies and celiac disease. We enroll children with special needs on a case by case basis as we consider very carefully our ability to meet their unique needs and requirements as well as the needs of children currently enrolled in our program. Our Education Director, Miss Tanya specializes in working with young children with special needs and she is available to assist our teachers in developing appropriate modifications to our curriculum and environment when necessary to meet specific needs. If you are interested in enrolling a child who has special needs in our program, please contact us to set up a time to meet and discuss the specific needs of your child.
